Volunteering at the
Titan Missile Museum

Get Started Volunteering at the Titan Missile Museum Today!

Are you interested in the Titan Missile Museum and its mission of preserving and interpreting an important aspect of US history? Do you enjoy meeting and talking to people from around the world? If the answer to these questions is yes, we want you to know that the museum is always accepting new volunteers.

The museum depends on having a strong volunteer corps and we welcome year-round and winter residents alike. Prior military and/or Titan II experience is not necessary. We provide outstanding training and you progress at your own pace. Titan volunteers assist the museum as Docents (tour guides), Greeters, Briefers, and Educators. See the many opportunities available to you below.

General Requirements and Costs to Potential/New Volunteers:

  • All positions have extensive contact with the public. Therefore, all potential volunteers must submit to a limited criminal background check.
  • Potential volunteers must attend Volunteer Orientation at the Pima Air & Space Museum.
  • New volunteers must take a number of familiarization tours at the Pima Air & Space Museum and the Titan Missile Museum.
  • Volunteers must be able to commit to one 5-hour shift per week.
  • There is a $5 membership fee to belong to the Arizona Aerospace Foundation (dba the Titan Missile Museum and the Pima Air & Space Museum).
  • There is a $10 training fee to cover costs of some of the training materials (other materials are free).
  • Volunteers must purchase a museum shirt to wear on their shifts. We sell the shirts to volunteers at the museum’s cost. Depending on the type of shirt selected, this cost is typically around $15.
